Designers, makers, installers, and project managers work as one team, carrying each project from first conversation through to final fit. Whether for private homes, large residential developments, or commercial spaces, our role is the same: to deliver joinery that feels considered, dependable, and built to last.

Choosing a joinery partner is about more than cabinetry. It is about selecting a team who will carry the details properly.
Design, manufacturing, and installation sit under one roof. The people drawing your plans work alongside the people building them. That continuity protects quality and timing.
You deal with the team responsible for your project. Communication is clear, decisions are efficient, and ownership is visible.
Your joinery is manufactured in New Zealand, with the capability to deliver nationwide. Local production gives us oversight and flexibility, and aftercare remains close at hand.
Alignment, proportion, durability, and detail matter. The small things are what people live with every day, and they are what we pay attention to.

Misco Joinery was founded in 1988, beginning with a clear intention: to build kitchens with care, precision, and pride.
The first kitchens were crafted in farm buildings behind the family home. What began as a small operation steadily grew as more homeowners trusted us with the centre of their homes.

In 1998, Glenn Colenso joined the business, strengthening the family foundations established by his brother in law, Michael Chernishoff. Those values still guide how we work today.
Land was purchased on Williams Street in Kaiapoi in 2005, reflecting a long term commitment to growth.

In 2015, construction began on our purpose built 3,500 square metre factory and showroom, giving us the scale to support larger programmes while maintaining close oversight of quality.

In 2023, Misco Stone was established at our original premises, expanding our capability to include stone templating, fabrication, and installation within the Misco family.

Today, Misco is a team of more than 85 people. Our story continues to grow, shaped by family values, teamwork, and pride in the finish.

Our Kaiapoi showroom allows clients to walk through kitchens, laundries, and wardrobes in person, helping them visualise possibilities and make confident decisions.
